Newleaf brought with it much relief for the cats of the forest. There was more prey, more herbs, less chance of sickness going around! But it also brought it's own troubles, too. With the Clans growing stronger and the herbs and prey returning, some cats might think it would be a grand time to disturb the peace. Cross borders, start fights, claim fresh-kill that wasn't theirs.
These were the worries that haunted Ivyberry's thoughts as she padded through the forest. As a medicine cat, she had different priorities than the rest of the Clan. She didn't hunt or fight or stalk back and forth across the borders, looking for trespassers. Her paws were meant to heal, to comfort and guide!
Right now her paws were guiding HER. To a patch of watermint by the river. A silly apprentice had gotten so excited about having enough prey to go around they'd eaten an entire trout by themself and given themself a bellyache. Ivyberry hadn't had much watermint in the first place, and this incident had nearly wiped her store out.
So here she was, padding by the river and being comforted by it's rumble. As long as the river ran, the Clan would survive whatever came.
